Charging your electric car in Anderlecht
Anderlecht is one of the most varied municipalities in the Region. Near the canal and in Cureghem, the old terraced houses and blocks of flats rarely have a private parking space, so charging happens in the building's car park or at work. Further west, in Veeweyde, La Roue or towards Neerpede, there are more houses with a garage or driveway, where a wall-mounted charger is easy to install.
The municipality is also home to many businesses and workshops, particularly along the canal: their car parks are well suited to several chargers sharing the available power through load management.
Situations we come across in Anderlecht
- House with a garage or private driveway in the west of the municipality

- Business or workshop car park near the canal
- Old fuse box to bring up to standard before installation
The electricity grid in Anderlecht
As elsewhere in the Region, many homes in Anderlecht are connected to a 3 × 230 V grid rather than 3 × 400 V. On this grid, charging is usually single-phase, up to 7.4 kW, which is enough to charge most cars overnight. Not every charger is compatible: we check your grid connection before advising you. For any change to the connection, your contact is Sibelga, the Brussels distribution system operator.
