More than 10 chargers installed every day — why not at your place?
Frequently asked questions
Charging time, cost, power, solar, VAT, RGIE inspection: answers from our installers, without the jargon.
It depends on the battery and on the charging power your car accepts. With a 7.4 kW charger, a 60 kWh battery charges fully in 8 to 9 hours, in other words overnight. With 11 kW on three-phase, allow around 6 hours. On a standard household socket (2.3 kW), it takes more than 24 hours. Our savings calculator works out the exact charging time for your model.
The cost of a full charge is the battery capacity multiplied by the price of your electricity. For a 60 kWh battery at around €0.32/kWh, a full charge at home costs about twenty euros, compared with more than €45 at a public rapid charger. With solar panels, the cost falls even further. Run the numbers for your vehicle in our calculator.
Yes, in most cases. The price gap between household electricity and public charging usually means the installation pays for itself within one to three years, depending on your annual mileage. Our savings calculator shows your annual savings and payback period for your situation.
The price depends mainly on the mounting (wall or post), the distance between the fuse box and the charger, smart charging and the RGIE compliance inspection. Our configurator shows the installation price for your situation instantly; our expert then adds the most suitable charger.
On single-phase, the maximum power is 7.4 kW. On three-phase, 11 kW is enough for the vast majority of cars, as many vehicles cannot accept more than 11 kW on AC. 22 kW is only useful if your car accepts it and your grid connection allows it. Our expert checks these three points before advising you.
Yes. A single-phase charger charges at up to 7.4 kW, which adds around 40 km of range per hour and fully charges most cars overnight. Dynamic load balancing stops the main circuit breaker from tripping.
Yes, with a charger that has solar control. It charges first from your panels' surplus instead of exporting it to the grid, which greatly reduces the cost of each charge. Mention it in the configurator: our expert will choose a compatible charger.
It continuously adjusts the charging power to your home's consumption. This stops the main circuit breaker from tripping and avoids consumption peaks, which push up the capacity tariff in Flanders. It is the option we recommend for most installations.
The reduced rate of 6% may apply to a private home that has been occupied for more than 10 years and is used mainly as a dwelling, with a certificate from the customer. In all other cases, VAT is 21%. The final rate is confirmed in your quote.
Yes. Every new electrical installation for an EV charger must be inspected by an approved inspection body to confirm that it complies with the RGIE, Belgium's General Regulations on Electrical Installations. This inspection is included in our installation price.
A standard wall-mounted installation takes half a day. A post-mounted installation or one that requires a trench can take a full day. A prior site survey is sometimes needed for unusual situations.
Many employers cover the cost of a home charger and reimburse the electricity used for charging. We can issue the quote in your employer's name and install a charger that accurately measures your vehicle's consumption.
