Charging your electric car in Forest
Forest has many traditional Brussels houses and grand townhouses, around Altitude Cent or Saint-Denis, as well as blocks of flats. Front-facing garages are common, with the fuse box often located in the cellar or at the back of the house.
The municipality's hilly terrain and terraced gardens sometimes make it tricky to run the cable to a driveway: we then suggest a post-mounted charger or a suitable cable route, priced straight away in the configurator.
Situations we come across in Forest
- House with a front-facing garage
- Post-mounted charger on a driveway
- Building with a shared car park
- Fuse box in the cellar, cable route to plan
The electricity grid in Forest
As elsewhere in the Region, many homes in Forest are connected to a 3 × 230 V grid rather than 3 × 400 V. On this grid, charging is usually single-phase, up to 7.4 kW, which is enough to charge most cars overnight. Not every charger is compatible: we check your grid connection before advising you. For any change to the connection, your contact is Sibelga, the Brussels distribution system operator.
